Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, spoke at the Seventh Central Symposium on Tibet Work held on August 28-29 in Beijing. Xi underlined the need to fully implement the CPC's policies on governing Tibet for a new era and efforts must be made to build a new modern socialist Tibet that is united, prosperous, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful.
